Their most famous line of recliners, Stressless®, launched in 1971 and was revolutionary in terms of luxury and functionality. To this day they remain The Innovators of Comfort™, selling products throughout the UK via independent furniture stores.
Due to the nature of dealing with independent and individual stores, Ekornes don't have full ownership of the sales relationship. However, as a designer of premium products they wanted the customer experience to reflect the high standards of their brand. This would require greater control and understanding of data in order to send out more targeted communications.
To manage the collection and storage of data on behalf of Ekornes, our in-house software development team created a bespoke database and lead management system. This included a facility for automated email alerts, to enable over 100 retailers to take full advantage of sales opportunities while also allowing Ekornes to analyse marketing enquiry levels and monitor ROI.
Our bespoke customer database enabled us to quickly analyse and profile Ekornes enquiries to ensure the right customers were being targeted at the right time in the right way, whether on or offline. This also meant brochures could be sent out with personalised letters to hot prospects only. Good news for the client's print costs. Great news for the environment.
